Macular Degeneration- There Is Hope

Since 1973, she has suffered from macular degeneration, then an untreatable disease. And she is not alone. This disease affects 13 million Americans, most often people over 65. By age 75, as much as 30% of the population may be affected. For some it means a loss of visual acuity and the ability to perform tasks such as sewing or writing.
